What is Your Policy on Updates and Upgrades

All fmAccounting Link (Xero Edition) Licenses include 12 months of complementary updates. You can purchase another 12 months of updates one year after your initial purchase or at any subsequent stage. This allows you to stay up-to-date with any changes to the Xero API including deprecations as well as new features added to the fmAccounting Link file.

When a new version of fmAccounting Link (Xero Edition) is released if you are still within the 12 month period of complimentary updates from the date of purchase, or you have purchased another 12 months of maintenance updates, you can download this using the download link from your original order confirmation email. If you created an account when placing your order on our website you can also login to your Databuzz account to access your downloads.

You can use a FileMaker developer tool like BaseElements or FMPerception to generate a comparison report between your original version of fmAccounting Link and a later update to identify the elements that have changed and need updating (we can also produce one of these using BaseElements for you if required).

If we release a new major version of fmAccounting Link this will be a paid upgrade. For example if you purchased v2.x of fmEcommerce Link and we release v3 and you wish to upgrade to that version you will be able to upgrade to this for a significant discount. All customers will receive a discount coupon from us to use for upgrading to a later version when it is released.
