Duplicate Name Exists Error

When uploading a new Customer or Vendor from the fmAccounting Link (QuickBooks Online Edition) file you might encounter the following error:

Error Message: Duplicate Name Exists Error

Error Detail: The name supplied already exists. : null

Error Code: 6240

Error Type: ValidationFault

In QuickBooks Online the DisplayName attribute must be unique across all other customer, employee, and vendor objects. You can't have both a Customer and a Vendor with exactly the same Display Name - you will need to modify the Display Name so that it is unique in both the Customers and Vendors tables.
