Sending Requests with Access Codes

When sending requests via DocuSign you also have the ability to add an access code for your recipients which adds an extra level of security to your documents. An access code is a string, 50 characters or less, that you provide to your recipient for their use in authentication. This string must not contain the symbols <, >, &, and #.

To send a Request containing an access code click this popover button popover on the Request Recipients tab:

This opens the Recipient Settings popover where you can enter the required access code for the recipient:

You can relay the code to the recipient in any way that you wish, such as by phone, SMS or in a separate email. When you send the Request and the recipient clicks the Review Document button in the DocuSign email they will be prompted to first enter the access code before they can view the document:
