fmEcommerce Link (Shopify Edition) v2 Updates and Upgrades Policy

All fmEcommerce Link (Shopify Edition) v2 Licenses include 12 months of complementary updates. You can purchase another 12 months of updates one year after your initial purchase or at any subsequent stage. This allows you to stay up-to-date with any changes to the Shopify API including deprecations as well as new features added to the fmEcommerce Link file.

Shopify have adopted API versioning and are now releasing new versions of their API quarterly - each stable version is supported for a minimum of 12 months. With this updated frequency of API releases which can also include deprecations to existing API endpoints we are constantly developing fmEcommerce Link (Shopify Edition) v2 to ensure it remains compatible with the latest stable version of the Shopify API and includes any updates for deprecations introduced by a new API version.

When a new version of fmEcommerce Link (Shopify Edition) is released you can download this using the download link from your original order confirmation email - that link will always download the most recent version based on your purchase date of fmEcommerce Link (Shopify Edition) v2 or the Maintenance extension. If you created an account when placing your order on our website you can also login to your Databuzz account to access your downloads.

You can use a FileMaker developer tool like BaseElements or FMPerception to generate a comparison report between your original version of fmEcommerce Link and a later update to identify the elements that have changed and need updating (we can also produce one of these using BaseElements for you if required).

If we release a new major version of fmEcommerce Link this will be a paid upgrade. For example if you purchased v1.x of fmEcommerce Link and we release v2 and you wish to upgrade to that version you will be able to upgrade to this for a significant discount. All customers will receive a discount coupon from us to use for upgrading to a later version when it is released.
