Create your own QuickBooks Online App

By default the fmAccounting Link (QuickBooks Online Edition) solution uses a Databuzz QuickBooks Online app for both the Sandbox and Production environments. This saves you from having to create one of these yourself, but there are situations where you need to create your own app with QuickBooks Online.

For example if you wish to use the PHP webhooks or the Claris Connect webhooks in the Sandbox environment you'll need to setup your own QuickBooks Online app so you can enter your custom webhook URL so notifications for your connected companies are sent to your webhook receiver and not one of ours.

Once you have successfully created your app it has been approved by Intuit you will need to enter your app credentials (Client ID and Client Secret) for both the Sandbox and the Production environments in the fmAccounting Link file. You will need to enter your app credentials in the following highlighted custom functions:

If you have entered a different value for the RedirectURI you can update that custom function as well. After you have updated the app credentials in the fmAccounting Link file you can Authenticate and approve the connection between the fmAccounting Link file and your selected fmAccounting Link file Company.
