Docusign Go Live Process
Once you have completed the setup/testing phase in the Demo Sandbox environment and are ready to switch to the live production environment you will you need to promote your integration to a Production account. DocuSign have streamlined the Go-Live experience in 2025 and eliminated the 20 API calls requirement, making it easier for developers to take their integrations live. You can read more about these changes here.
Once these have been successfully completed you can then apply for a review and move your Integration from the sandbox to a production account. When you go-live to move your app to the production environment its integration key is duplicated in the production environment rather than moved. This means that you can continue to use that integration key in the development (demo) environment as well as in production.
You will need to create a new Accounts record and complete the Authentication process with the production account (make sure the Docusign Environment is set to Production), similar to when you authenticated with the Sandbox account. You will need to create or duplicate any Templates that you wish to use with the new Accounts record, making sure you select the Product Account when setting up your Production Templates so these are available when creating a new Request.
Once you have successfully authenticated the new Production Accounts record you are ready to test sending a new envelope to confirm everything is working correctly.
